Prince of Persia - Preview

Hoping to follow on from the success of the hugely popular Pirates of the Caribbean series, Jerry Bruckheimer once again teams up with Disney to bring us this adaptation of the Video Game series. Now although the filmmakers and onscreen talent have great CV's, the track record of games to screen adaptations isn't so stellar, but then who would have thought a movie based on a theme park ride would be so good?  Jake Gyllenhaal stars as Dastan the titular Prince of Persia who must save the day (and the lovely Princess played by Gemma Arterton) and stop the evil character of Nizam (Sir Ben Kingsley).

We're hoping to be thrilled along the way when the film hits the screens, in the meantime we'll make do with the trailer and a closer look at what we've seen so far.

Directed by Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire, Donnie Brasco) and starring Jake Gyllenhaal (Brokeback Mountain, Rendition and Zodiac) Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is due out on May 28 in the US and May 27 in the UK.
